Access Control

 

Access control systems are designed to safeguard your organisation, business and multi-residence dwelling, by restricting access to those who are permitted and authorised to enter, through the use of tokens, I.e. card or key fob, and/or access codes.

 

Basic systems may just govern access by authority.  While more advanced systems can also govern access by  time, date, space and permission level.  

 

The most popular and cost effective technologies in use today are the keypad, proximity card or proximity key fob, although biometric readers are gaining popularity and may become the norm in time.  

 

Video and audio systems can also be of use to ensure callers are identified prior to being given access, but do require an operator on the secure side to carry out the visitor verification checks.

 

Systems can be centrally managed via PC based management software or locally programmed at each access point.
